Puritanical Misanthropy [Open/Aki]

Post by divus on Tue Feb 04, 2014 10:52 am

Downtown Tokyo, Japan; 7:36 PM

Where lofty office buildings and towers of glass and steel stood prominently amidst the lesser structures, shadows eked out an unseen and ever present existence in the crevices between Tokyo's innumerable constructs both residential and commercial. Deep within one such an alleyway at the edge of a brick lined pathway that smelled of garbage and a uniquely foul uric scent that only the back of a bar could possess,  a fluctuation not meant for the world of man began to appear. Briefly a mass of graffiti against the yellow stained grey and white bricks was convoluted and distorted in a black spiral, swirling as a distended vortex of translucent blackness and darkness made solid. It expanded, wider and wider, until it became quite clear that this was a hole of some sort...

Chains spilled first from the crude rift. The sounds of ringing metal came as a single silhouette seemed to push forth against the suface of the black gape, stretching it's illusory veneer of shadow like a membrane before the cloak of shadow finally ripped. It exposed a body - a humanoid body - which tore through the blackness and descended from the vile pit that had spawned. He tumbled through the air briefly before making a clumsy landing from the vortex. Narrowly he managed to hit the filth littered asphalt of the alley on his feet, both of which were clad in twisted greaves of pitch black iron that were smeared with splatters of a familiar and oddly stimulating sanguine color.

As the male slowly straightened his posture, moving as if he were disoriented, a statuesque appearance that scarce few humans could possibly bear was revealed. From the cusps of his upper arms to his clawed fingertips of grotesquely curled talons, his arms were clad in dark gauntlets to match the metallic articles of his legs. But rather than be made for protection the armor he wore donned spikes and bladed spines where plates should have been, sacrificing defense for pure morbid intent. Armor was layered in thin, strangely formed plates over his hips and lower crotch, leading to the brute yet adeptly crafted armor that clad the male's legs. He stood tall, and somehow menacing, with a chilly sinister air. Divus slowly opened his blood red eyes, revealing his pale pupils and silvery irises to gaze with malefic delight upon his decrepit surroundings.

Though awestruck, it seemed this outsider to the natural world could not sit still. Abandoning the still present vortex that he had bored through he ventured forth out of the alleyway and it's deep shadows. Standing in the light, his almost faintly green-grey skin came to light, so hard in texture that it might've been confused with the polished stone of a marble statue - a misleading image supported by the almost unnaturally chiseled form of the transient Sinner's immense muscles. His strange build was not exquisitely intimidating in sheer upper body form however, but spread out nearly monstrous musculature all over himself equally. His visibly hard-toned eight pack abdomen swayed and flexed with his every step, left uncovered by his scarce green garments of worn cloth that partly layered him beneath his lower armor.

He ignored cars and pedestrians as he walked into the open street, shoving men and women aside as if they were unwanted junk misplaced in his way as lifeless obstacles. As cars neared him at high speeds on the road a huge verdant forest-green glow erupted from him, mixed with streaks and pulses of pitch black. The release of immense spiritual pressure flattened the few cars that had already neared close to him, unable to see the cruel spirit before their eyes in mortal form. Their contents were crushed like fruit and then gradually compressed against the cracking concrete with metallic screeches and harsh tears. The male's wild, unkempt mane of silvery hair swayed wildly with the artificial winds exerted by his sheer spiritual pressure, moving with the countless chains that began to appear framing his outer shoulder-blades and joints. Just as quickly as the chains appeared they faded in spectral silhouettes, as if bent forcibly by his presence.

A small store stood in the midst of Tokyo's busy scene. A unnoticeable shop that lies dormant and invisible to the day to day citizens of Japan's bustling city. And as the doors opened came a little bell sound to indicate an entering and leaving customer each time the doorknob turned. Emerging from the cute little store was a young female that stood no taller then 5'3" and had short unkempt silver hair and silt eyes. Although the girl looked the part of a citizen she was far from it. Holding a bad of snacks she scurried away into the streets where everyday people paid no mind to her for they could not tell. A dog quickly followed behind her, a dog that was significantly larger then most dogs of the human world.

"Skipping paperwork and duties was a great idea. And what better place to stay hidden then the world of the living huh Ame?" The dog bark happily behind her.

As she quickly turned the corner there was an unfamiliar and of course unfavorable spiritual energy that emerged from the streets. It was unique, not a hollow or a arrancar. She looked at the sky and grimaced. The small solider thought, if she ignored it and walked away now it would be okay. It wasn't her fault if anything happened. But alas the curiosity of the unfamiliar reiatsu got the better of her and running ahead of her dog and dropping all her snacks did she run toward the site of the being.

Quickly making another right turn did she finally see what was causing the feeling. Not only was it emitting a curious pressure but also causing a commotion with the destroyed cars and cracked concrete. "Totally ruined my day off." She stood few yards away from it, but had a clear view of the monster that stood within the streets.

The blearing shrieks of car horns was interrupted only by screeches and thuds of metal. Vehicles came to a halt around the mound of heavily crushed metal where cars that had strayed too near to the tall, nefariously immaculate Togabito had been brought to violent halts. He did not even spare a single glance for those that had died in the careless process. He could've moved out of the way of all the vehicles easily, yet he'd chosen to destroy them instead rather than move himself.

The verdant pulse of deep green energy mingled with deep streaks of pitch black reiatsu quieted around him before fading. His eyes moved around, but almost seemed to look through their surroundings. He didn't see the commotion on the road but instead the sheer wonder of the world sinners such as he had been doomed to never lay eyes upon again... his silvery iridescent gaze joyously feasted on the beauty of the outside world.

Stepping carelessly over some smashed headlights and twisted metal mingled with sheared bits of carbon shards and glass, Divus made his way to the sidewalks. He left behind an idle scene of crowded traffic, confused drivers and the sirens of approaching service vehicles there to tend to the oblivious mortals that had strayed too close to malevolent force. He soon neared the curb and the edge of a sidewalk. Divus had forgotten no mortals could see him until they began bumping into his body as several came running towards the cars he had nearly compacted with his spiritual pressure, hoping to aid them. Usually Divus' expression would turn foul at such a sight... but, the fresh clean air free of brimstone or the distinct scent of burnt flesh here proved much too intoxicating. Divus was awash in pleasant comfort.

Even as the tall iron and rag clad man stood still, the chains that loosely binded his very soul swayed around him as if caught in a breeze, even though there was no noticeable wind blowing by. Appearing near his shoulder blades and the joints of his limbs, the many chains appeared for links at a time, shortly before their extended lengths faded to rusty red light and faded entirely only for their lost metal to reappear on other links that soon repeated the same process. It was common for Sinners to have at least two to three Hell chains, but this being had at least twelve... a sign that he had crawled from Hell's deepest pits, and endured the cycle of endless torture and revival there for time immemorial.

He ceased his pace and turned his eyes to the only other presence he could feel. The humans near him were just dull whispers compared to the shrieking, despair-like presence of his own harsh spiritual energy. It lacked the primal animal nature of a Hollow's essence because of it's sheer humanity. But the wickedness, the malice, the dangerous and incredibly abrasive nature of the man's ambient reiryoku... it was indeed not so different from that of the masked souls. The only energy within some distance that seemed to rival it was coming from a distant skinny girl but a few yards from the coldly casual scene of destruction Divus had left behind.

The man's silver eyes narrowed upon her, surrounded in a deep red that drenched each of his scleras. He seemed uncertain of her. Then, a certain glint in his already bestial gaze twisted into something like hatred towards her. Divus was not sure if this woman really held power. But he could feel... something off about her, some ambient presence she had that he could not wholly ignore. He stood statue-like as he stared bitterly at her with mixed intentions, malice mingling with apathy and personal dislike.

The sounds of the vehicles mixed with the shrill sounds of humans fleeting away was enough to make the girl's eyes twitch. This wasn't some being going on a stroll like she was in the world of the living for sure. He was causing havoc and unbalance to the mortal world. Drawing a spirit butterfly Aki let it into the sky. To warn the soul society of an monster. Observing his appearance further his chains indicated where he came from. Hell.

A bit alarmed she took a step back. Wondering how could a being from hell arise so easily. The gates are something that are opened from the outside not inside. Seeing there was no one else to help her she approached the being a bit closer with a smile.

"If you need to find your way back to Hell its not this way." She emitted a bit of her spiritual pressure to grow some attention to herself instead of the humans around her. "You don't want to stay here, it's hella boring. But in case you are. I'm gonna have to ask you to back off a little and state your business." She was incredibly small compared to the creature and frail looking. If anyone else could see the monster they would think she was psychotic.

The sinner's silver gaze rose to the butterfly the short girl released. His attention had shifted from her to it, and he crossed his arms as he watched the tiny spiritual creature flutter higher and higher into the sky. A faint blackness could be seen almost vibrating around him, not unlike the distortion of light caused by heat waves except that this was shadow moving where light should've ruled. The blackness around him condensed into a solid black form twisting around his body in a spiral; all at once the small black mass rose above him and suddenly collapsed on itself, compressing as if it were being drawn into a hole. The spectacle lasted only one second before a single jagged black sword was left where the cloud had been above Divus, and it steadily rose higher, turning the tip of it's double edged glass-like blade to point at the sky... and then the butterfly.

Before the fragile messenger could make it's way into the next world, the black sword launched forward with a sudden dash, and before Divus could even blink an eye the sword he had conjured effortlessly sliced the butterfly in half. Some of the darkness that had coursed around his body remained with the blade, and it spread to the butterfly it had slashed straight through. The spirit creature's body began to fade piece by piece... and the black sword shattered overhead, raining down bits and pieces of crystalline obsidian. Divus returned his gaze to the Shinigami.

Arms still crossed, he moved neither closer nor further. She had spoken to him directly and released a clear pulse of her spiritual energy. Divus could not doubt her now; she clearly held power, something he didn't like in the hands of the feminine sex. The wind shifted directions, blowing the wind in Divus' face. It blew his long pale hair out of his face in long flowing patterns behind his head, exposing his hardened and cruel but entirely humanoid visage. "I'm a man pursuing his freedom." Spoke the sinner with a vivid, happy grin. "And what are you?" He asked, smiling a bit too wide; his sharp pointed teeth were exposed. They did not seem natural, as if their appearance were artificial... and indeed it was. They had been ground and sharpened against the stones of Hell almost artfully to form a perfectly vicious appearance.

Aki's eyes followed the creature's movements closely. As he drew his sword Aki got into a stand ready to reach for something in her pocket before stopping as he pointed the weapon into the sky. She looked up and cursed under her breathe as she knew what he was aiming for. The butterfly that once flew so gracfully dissipated into dust in a matter of seconds with a single stroke. It was obvious at that point that this would be a huge threat. But it only made the young girl smile.

The concrete on the ground below the girl began to freeze just a bit as she began to get excited at the site before her. Although it should be taken with clear caution it only made her smile even more. The dog that before loyally followed her finally caught up to its owner. Taking the sword that he carried she bent down and whispered something, before it once again ran off, disappearing into the streets.

She opened her mouth in the next few moment. A few sharp edges shown on most of her teeth, although not as refined as the creature she merely laughed. "Look at us, we're like twins. With silver hair and everything. So maybe I'm the same as you." Reaching into her pocket a small tube with an animal head laid in the small dainty hands of the girl. Popping a piece of candy and eating did the true identity of the young female show. A shinigami. The gigai kneeled before the master.

"But then again, I'm not as ugly as you "

Divus still remained in the same spot. He slowly unfolded his arms as the Shinigami took a single gikongon pill - he didn't even try to stop her. Divus expected to have been faced with a serious attack by now, and the lack of serious offense was leading him to believe that perhaps this girl was not truly threatening. His iron clad arms hung by his sides as he watched her soul spill forth from it's artificial vessel which then began to slump lifelessly over at a kneel, as if bowing to the one that had lived within it. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder supposedly. You must not have very good eyesight." Divus spoke, before dipping his fingertips into his long flowing strands of wild unkempt silver hair in a vain gesture. He hoped she'd be annoyed by the pompous gesture.

Divus moved his hand away from his hair and out to his far side, where it's bloodied palm and fingertips curled as if they were holding something unseen. "In all seriousness, you should crawl back inside that prepubescent shell and run with the rest of the small apes..." He spoke; nothing appeared in the hand he was holding. But the various visually broken links of chain around his body moved strangely. Nearly six were swaying near the arm he had held outward, the tips of their continued invisible links running through Divus' hand. Faint flickers coursed through the chains, revealing once invisible dark red links of energy that appeared for only fractions of a second at a time, connecting to where the chains on Divus appeared broken.

Deep beneath the ground where Divus' extended chain lengths ran, the metal bindings began to manifest physically below the pavement of the streets. They ran outward in front of Divus, beneath the exposed Shinigami and far behind her into the crowds and stalled cars stuck behind the obstacles of crushed metal done in by the sinner himself. The chains remained unusually quiet however, their violent burrowing only causing the stone ground to vibrate slightly as the soul reaper's enemy manipulated the Hell chains.

Aki stuck out her tongue in disgust as he brushed the long unkempt hair out of his face. Not even the women of the soul society were this prutentious. But his remarks back were truly something else. They were almost applaudible. A formidable enemy of the snarky words, much better then any shinigami or hollow that came to speak. Aki's slit eyes merely let out an aura of contentment of his presence. "Yeah sorry there buddy but with all that hair in your face you probably can't look at the mirrors you've cracked."

At his second comment a small anger vein popped in her forehead and the gigai merely snorted. Glaring at the artifical body it stood up and backed away. Regaining her smiled she stepped forward just a little toward Divus. But then began to walk circles around him. "Sorry this ape is gonna have to stick around. I can't have you destroying the property. If you scurry your way back to that cave of despair right now we won't have to do this the hard way."

The steps Aki left were followed by ice shapped like crystals rising from the ground. The air temperature as well began to grow colder by the minute. Her chuckling let out a fog of air from her thing but wide small. And even slowly did the ice rise toward the creature. Slowly circling him.

Irritated by her speech, Divus resolved to put something of an end to this girl... he was prepared to quickly pull the Hell chains he had manifested beneath her out, which would have torn away the very ground she stood upon and likely distracted her long enough for Divus to take aim for a real attack. But lucky for her she moved. He was not terribly bothered by her snarky demeanor before but he could only hear so many cheap insults before the Shinigami became an itch that needed to be scratched, and the fact that his prepared course of action was now thwarted by chance alone further disturbed Divus' balance of patience.

Abandoning the subterranean lengths, Divus' hell chains faded where they went below ground, and instead the extended chains that were above the pavement manifested physically into harsh iron links smeared with blood and shrouded in a light haze of embers. Some sixteen chains extended for well over ten feet from Divus' body, all held towards their shorter ends by Divus' outstretched fist. He squeezed the iron so tightly in his greyish white fist that it turned even more pale, showing a pallid tone as veins throbbed across the surface of his hand's skin; it might've been disturbing to know he wasn't even trying particularly hard, even as he heaved all the dozen plus chains high into the air, swinging them straight up with an upwards swoop of his arm.

Once the chains were all above Divus' head rattling as he'd moved them, they began to move as if animated by a prehensile will of their own. The chains spun in large circles as Divus seemed to control them by willpower alone, causing the chains to lash around him at all angles as improvised whips. The strikes of the many chains began close around him at first, lashing the nearby pavement hard enough that chunks of street and curb were peeled off of the ground. In mere tenths of a second however the chains rapidly moved outward, leaving only torn pavement and shredded asphalt in their path. Some of the ice formed by the Shinigami fell into the paths of the chains, which cleaved through it. By the time two seconds had passed numerous chains would be lashing at her as well with brutal whip-like strikes driven only by the Sinner's manipulation of the curious bindings.

Given the silent treatment the creature began to move once again into a dance. The chains flew through the air as if on their own, snakes made of metal. Almost like a trance Aki stared at them in amazement. But quickly went back to her senses and grabbed the hilt of her sword. Slowly unsheathing it halfway before halting. Waiting for the chains to come. The streets and curbs were leaving the their original placement. She grunted at the damage it was making. The ice she slowly formed were easily crushed by the chains. Which was expected.

Within seconds after such a trance did the attack come as thought. Without even sheathing her sword fully a column of ice rose from the ground immediately to act as a shield against the hellion's attacks. And as quickly as it formed, it was crushed by the impact. Ice debris fell in the air, some shards raced toward the creature like small knives ready to make even the slightest damage.

On a piece of concrete that was ripped away from the earth but still standing stood the young girl that disappeared like ash in the wind. Sitting on the rock she sat there smiling, content. And even unconcerned at the damage at this point. "Ah, do you really have to find freedom here? The human world isn't much fun, too many laws. Hell is where you belong. I'll even escort you there if you want."
